ZigZag is enrolling ages 4 to 12, Monday through Friday, September 4th through May 31st. Kids under 5 can only enroll for 4 hours a day.
Partial-week attendance can be arranged.
Kids are admitted on a 1-week trial basis. It’s a practice that helps figure out whether it’s really a good fit for both the kid and for the existing school community.
We are requesting this year that parents volunteer 6 hours a month for full time enrollment (less for part time). We want more intergenerational connection and learning at ZigZag, and this will be one way to do that through skill sharing and collaborative projects with parents. We will post specific grownup-support needs that bubble up from kids’ daily explorations, and try to find matches for those needs from the parent community.
ZigZag ALC is currently only supported through the tuition paid by its families. In determining our tuition, we have tried our best to balance accessibility to as many families as possible, with the ability for the school to actually exist. All of the tuition goes to renting the space, paying for utilities and insurance, providing tools and materials, and paying our facilitators a living wage.
Full time tuition starts at $7,020 a year (which translates to $6.50/hr), payable over 9 monthly payments.
We do not charge any application or enrollment fees. We only request a $200 deposit to hold your spot, which goes towards first month’s payment.
Please use the table below to find the tuition that corresponds to your annual family gross income level.
If you want your child to attend only 2 or 3 days a week, your tuition will be 2/5th or 3/5th of that amount.
